Length: 2-hour sessions
Session 1:
Activity 1
Students work in fours to write a message back to Chiron using the Greek Alphabet.
They exchange messages with the other groups and they need to decipher the one they receive.
All the messages are read out loud.
Activity 2
Pair, Square, Share
In pairs, they read the text on how humans were given fire and complete it with the verbs in brackets in the Simple Past form.
In fours, they check their answers.
As a class group, they correct the text.
A little discussion is held about the text, its meaning, and the importance of mythology in the Greek world.
Activity 3
In fours, they invent a story using as characters the Greek Gods and Creatures in the pictures. They write bullet points on the sheet provided to use as help when they present the story. They also need to distribute the story among them.
Session 2:
Oral presentations
Students peer assess their classmates and write down a couple of aspects they have liked and a couple that could be improved.
